I told everyone that I was punched in the face by a Gorilla. It gets better too. I came to work and the kids said what happened to your face? So, I told my 3rd grade class that I saved the presidents dog. I told this big long story about how he ran in front of a bus and I said, "I'll save you" and ran in front of the bus to get the dog and hit my head. They thought it was the greatest thing ever. One girl even said, "That was really nice of you to save the presidents dog." Kids will believe a lot of things. Here are the pictures.
Day 1
Day 2- you can see the scratches on my cheek too
Day 3
Day 4
Day 5
Day 6
My face is the same in every single one about. I didn't even realize it. That was quite the adventure too though. I love sledding, although it hurt so dang bad. I felt sick for 3 days after and had a headache every single day for the whole week. That all was the downfall of sledding and flipping over.
Then my friends and I decided we were going to do museum Wednesday's. Every Wednesday we go to a different museum. The first one was The Natural History Museum of Utah. It was pretty interesting and we saw the Chocolate Exhibit. It was pretty cool but they chocolate was nasty.
So glad I have best friends!
Pizza Pie Cafe is so good!
Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point. This museum was a lot of fun. I did an internship for Thanksgiving Point so it was cool to go back and see stuff.
This is our stank face for someone not thinking this shark was cool!
We pretended that Jeff was a fossil and I was the Paleontologist who was digging it up.
I am going to be eaten by the crazy fish!!!
I am about to embark on some of my bucket list items, one of which is happening today: Going shooting. I am terrified out of my mind to go. It will be fun though. Over the last month I have learned a lot about myself and learned that I am truly truly grateful for friends. They are amazing people.
Mack had his 1st birthday on March 21. Jen and Jared had a party for him at the Davis rec. We all went swimming and it was really fun. Mack does not like to be dirty which is so funny! He also didn't like being in the water very much. He had the cutes little cape on for his 1st birthday.
I think he was a bit lost that everyone was singing to him. He is the cutest!
As you can tell at first he was excited.
Then he touched it and well... you get the idea.
He especially didn't like this one very much.
That day was so much fun with him. He is so funny. Here are some of the pictures from him turning 1.
Then I judged the state HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) competition. Jen is in charge of the competition and I judged a lot of different things. I think my favorite thing I judged this time was public speaking. They are good at what they do but some of them are funny. One girl quoted Gandhi and she didn't know. She told us how she knew the quote was by someone really famous but she didn't know who it was. Although she should know. Another one of them I helped with was medical math. Well, funny story, 3 kids decided they needed to cheat. How they acted about it was ridiculous. They knew we saw them cheating the whole time. One girl even covered her face with her hair because she thought we wouldn't see. I may or may not have taken a picture of them cheating haha!!! Here it is.
That summed up the whole weekend other than I hung out with people I haven't seen for a really long time. I also did security for the Autorama that my friends came to. I love when people come to my work while I am working. I figured we had to take pictures because that's what I do.
I haven't seen this kid in forever. I decided to be a hippie for this.
Sometimes I convince the people in the back of this picture and the guy on the top to watch Saving Mr. Banks after the competition. These people are so much fun. Here is another photo that you won't want to miss.
Sometimes Denise does the head bang at closing ceremonies. I love that I captured this moment. SO funny!
Selfie of 4 people? Autorama. I am glad they all came!
Sunday I got to hang out with the little man. He is the funniest little thing. He likes to hide behind the curtain and laugh. He plays peek-a-boo with you and just laughs and laughs. I captured him hiding in the curtains.
This photo is one of my favorites of all! He knew I was watching him and laughing so he would look through the curtain at me to see what I was doing. Right when he did he smiled just for the picture.
This week I get to go on big adventures and I am so excited! I am also going to be better about posting on this more. So expect another one of these soon. I see all my friends blogging and I think it is the greatest to be able to remember all the stuff you do.
Now that you have seen the all the pictures of this little man, I hope you have a great day!
Love, Laurie :)
