Paris Day 2 March 29, 2014

Day two was Saturday, March 29.

We started the day off getting in line for the Catacombs. If you don't get there early enough you won't get in. While we were in line we decided we should get some food. One at a time we got some food while talking to our new English friends.

Baguette's = my favorite! This made waiting in line so much better.

Here is the start of the Catacombs.

Look at all those bones!

You couldn't use a flash but as you can see, there are more bones that you can count.

So creepy!

The Catacombs have more than 6 million bones inside of them!

After we went to the Catacombs we went over took the Metro over to the Sacre Cœur. (Sacred Heart) I love the views you see here. We also saw a merry go round that was a double decker!
This was a cool shot. They all matched each other.
Here is the Sacre Cœur from the bottom.

The double decker merry go round.

I convinced my mom to ride it with me.

Here is right underneath.

The view is breathtaking. Even inside was beautiful!

I love live music. Especially in France.

This was right over by Artists Square. This place was beautiful. We saw all of the art that people were selling. Brian and my mom bought some of it as well.
After we were there we went over to the best bread and cheese places in Paris. Literally.
The Baguette and Brie we ate at the park. I wish I could eat this every day!

We then found a small park right next to the Sacre Cœur and ate it. Seriously this place is the life! This was our view.

Moulin Rouge was next on the list! So much fun to see.
Little kids were running around making their jackets blow up with the wind.
Love that Windmill.
If you didn't want to go further than this. Way way too much of what we didn't to see! After this we went over to the Moulin Rouge gift shop. I bought the cutest phone cover there.

We then went over to the Bastille. The Bastille is right over by the opera house. It is soo incredible and so historic.

The opera house right next to it.

Now here is where things get interesting. We went restaurant hunting for 2 and a half hours. The reason we went so long is because we wanted to go to certain places to eat. While we were walking to find where we wanted to eat Jeffrey was approached by a prostitute. I only heard part of what she said and that was crazy so I can't imagine everything else that was said. Not only did that happen that day but Brian was stuck in-between the doors of the Metro. Jeffrey had to pry the doors back open and I yanked him in. Needless to say crazy things happened. We never found a restaurant so my mom and I resulted to eat at the hotel restaurant. It wasn't very good.

  1. What a fun merry go round! Paris looks like a beautiful city; I am sure it is 1,000 times better in person. So happy you were able to visit again!
